Who we are
GoTrippio is run by Ira Willett and Mahabuba Zannat Willett, an independent two-person travel publication based in San Angelo, Texas, USA.
We write about places we have been ourselves: the long beach at Cox's Bazar, the tea country around Sylhet and Sreemangal, the hills of Sajek Valley and Bandarban, Kathmandu, and London. Many of the photos on the site are our own; the rest are freely licensed and listed on our photo credits page.
Planning a trip to these places often means piecing together advice from social media posts, outdated forum threads and hotel listings that all look the same. We started this site to put the practical information in one place: which area suits you, when to go, how to get there and what a fair price looks like.
How we choose hotels
- Location first: close to what most visitors come to see, with safe, practical access.
- Value for money in its category, based on typical published rates.
- Consistent guest feedback across major booking platforms.
- A clear fit for a type of traveller: families, couples, backpackers or groups.
How we check our information
We check hotel details, prices and travel information against official hotel websites, booking platforms and official sources, and update pages when things change. Prices on our pages are typical ranges, not quotes; the booking site always shows the final price. If you find something out of date, please tell us.
