Sairu Hill Resort

Sairu Hill Resort sits on a hill slope at the Y-junction of the Bandarban to Chimbuk road, roughly 18 km from Bandarban town, which the resort describes as about an hour's uphill drive on winding hill roads. The 12-acre hilltop site sits at around 1,740 feet, with most structures raised on stilts to follow the natural terrain, and looks out over forested valleys and the Sangu River. Room types include Shangu View rooms, some with terraces, larger Executive and Premium rooms, and the A-frame Shimul Tola Cabin for up to six guests, built around an old shimul tree.

Facilities include an outdoor infinity pool, a restaurant, a conference room, a cultural deck and a children's play area. It is one of the most upmarket places to stay in the district and a practical base for Chimbuk, Shoilo Propat and Nilgiri, which lie further along the same road. Because it is well outside town, most guests arrive by hired car or jeep.
