Balishira Resort

Balishira Resort sits in Radhanagar, on the edge of Sreemangal town, surrounded by tea gardens and low forested hills. Sreemangal is about three hours by road or train from Sylhet city and is known as the tea capital of Bangladesh. The resort is a short drive (roughly 4 km) from Sreemangal railway station.

Accommodation is in couple cottages, deluxe rooms in a tower block and villas. The ground-floor couple villas have their own private pool, and the family villa sleeps up to four people. Many units have verandas facing the Bhurbhuraia stream that runs past the grounds. Breakfast is included, and the on-site restaurant serves meals for the rest of the day. There is also a children's play zone. Staff can help arrange trips to Lawachara National Park, Madhabkunda waterfall, Baikka Beel wetland and nearby tea estates. It makes a quieter alternative to staying in Sylhet city for travellers who mainly want to see the tea country.
