Boudha Stupa View Guest House

Boudha Stupa View Guest House stands on the square around Boudhanath Stupa, just steps from the stupa and the kora route that pilgrims walk each morning and evening. It is a simple guesthouse with around 20 single and double rooms, some of which look directly onto the stupa. Its best-known feature is the large rooftop restaurant, which serves Nepali dishes such as thali and noodle soup alongside continental breakfasts, with an open view over the dome and prayer flags.

Boudha is quieter than Thamel and sits closer to Tribhuvan International Airport, so it works well for a first or last night in Kathmandu. Monasteries, Tibetan restaurants and thangka shops surround the square. The guesthouse has a 24-hour front desk and can help arrange airport transfers.
